Painting Jarvis – A step by step guide

Here’s my first ‘step by step’ project blog post, hope it’s helpful.

I recently received a request to produce a painting of ΓΌber geek/chic Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker in my ‘signature’ illustrative style. It’s not an uncommon style, nor a massively complex one to achieve, but it’s one I’ve been honing for a good few years now, and one that I believe can be very bold and effective.

Tattoo-tastic

It seems that it’s the tattoo time of year.

You may have seen my previous post where I showed a sneak preview of the tattoo I designed for a client last week. Well the reason that client found me was because she came across an image on Google which was from my site (from a couple of years back, admittedly!), and liking what she saw, she got in touch to request a commission.

Tattoo – sneak preview!

I love it when a plan comes together! I’ve been working trans-Atlantic on a tattoo design for a private client for a little while now. Here’s a sneak preview of the detail – more to come in the portfolio section when the job is signed off and complete!
