Studio? Can we call it that? Business? Agency?
Think of me as a business partner, a specialist supplier, a friendly advisor even. I want you to feel like I’m part of your team. And if there’s another complementary skill needed to complete your project (a printer, copywriter, illustrator or web developer, for example), my network of contacts provides me with the resources to complete a much wider range of projects than you might expect from a freelancer.
You’ll deal directly with me. I’ll take your call. I’ll meet you to discuss ideas. I’ll answer your queries. I’ll create the design. I’ll offer to liaise with these complementary suppliers on your behalf. This consistency builds a great working relationship between us and, alongside a trusted design process and plenty of hard work, helps ensure the best possible return on your design investment over time.
Design is a unique and powerful tool for businesses, charities, products, services and other organisations.
It works on various levels, giving credibility and helping you ‘dress appropriately’, instilling confidence in your customers and provoking ambition and desire. It is this versatility and potential that make me one of those mildly irritating folk who absolutely love what they do.
Throughout my agency and business career I’ve been lucky enough to gain experience working for a wide range of large clients including Macmillan Cancer Support, Citroën, Tulip and Wrigley.
However, many of my favourite moments have come while working alongside smaller businesses, charities and sole traders, helping them understand their brand better and communicate it more effectively.
Locality and a passion for the area means I often work very closely with businesses in Plymouth but I’m certainly not limited to any one region or geographic location.
I am proud to work regularly with clients across the UK and in Europe and have completed various projects for customers in America as well.
A Janner by parentage and residency but not by birth, I live in Plymouth in the beautiful south west of England with my wife Lizzie and daughter Rosie.
I’m a member at Mutley Baptist Church and can often be found swimming at the beach or watching football at Home Park. If you can’t find me there, you can probably hear me as I woefully, inadequately blast out my favourite songs on a Les Paul and Marshall combo. Sorry about that.
The design services I offer include the following:
Logo design and brand (or corporate) identity, letterheads, business cards, compliments slips, flyers, websites, advertising, books/book covers, posters, point of sale, magazines, signage, brochures, menus, packaging, sales guides, leaflets, exhibition stands, banners, illustration, apparel, digital presentations, photo manipulation and retouching, CD artwork, corporate reports and canvas art prints.
