Now in their 8th Year, charity Chennai Challenge (now there’s a mouthful…) are celebrating with First50 – a campaign honouring the 50 team members who have made the trip out to India with them since their first mission in 2006.
As well as acknowledging these 50 people’s contribution, First50 will also form a theme for the charity’s fundraising drive in 2013 as people are challenged to find people to raise a set of differing amounts between 50p per month and 50p per day for a year.
The identity was intended to feel celebratory and stylish and work well as a single colour graphic (on garments, for example). The word First is incorporated into the number 50 and the five pointed star stands for achievement and represents the ‘five’ factor which appears throughout the fundraising campaign.
A decorative pattern was created from a similar star shape, resembling a traditional Indian Kolam, which will help tie the identity together across various applications.
Kicking things off will be a big celebration dinner, for which I created these classy A5 sized invitations with spot UV varnish detail.
