Owen Jones Design goes international!
Earlier this year I was approached with an exciting cross-Atlantic project. Having come across my work through a Google search, a young lady called Anna from Connecticut, USA emailed me asking me to design a monogram tattoo for her and her husband to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary.
As always, I turned straight to my sketchbook and began the ideas process. The idea was that I would combine the letters A and J, the couple’s initials, into a sleek curvy monogram which I would then rotate and duplicate around 360° to form a circular final design.
Once I’d mocked up these initial visuals, Anna chose her favourite which I then redrew and refined in Illustrator. Here you can see the monogram on its own, followed by the full design.
