During my recent holiday in Cornwall I had the pleasure of wandering around Fowey, a lovely little harbour town full of little independent/boutique shops and art galleries.
I often find that I become massively inspired when visiting these kinds of little galleries, seeing the creativity and variety of the artwork displayed, but I had a particularly inspiring moment – love at first sight, really – in one of Fowey’s galleries.
The Small Stakes
I recently had the pleasure of a trip ‘up the line’ to ‘that there’ London (as us Westcountry folk refer to our glorious capital city…) – where the streets aren’t exactly paved with gold but they are lined with fantastic specialist shops ideal for designers!
As well as a jaw dropping trip to the London Graphics Centre (a must visit for ALL your pen and paper needs), I managed to drag my wife into Magma in Soho to oggle at the walls full of design books.

Alphablog: U is for Urban Art
Whilst I agree that vandalism and defacing of public or other people’s private property are bad things, there is something quite spectacular and encapsulating about a well produced/conceived/executed piece of urban art.
